Roy Cummins commences as Port CEO

Roy Cummins has officially commenced his new role as Chief Executive Officer of the Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL).

Roy brings a wealth of strategic management and leadership experience in port management and maritime arena, which he has gained in both Australia and internationally in the last 25 years.

Throughout his career Roy has been responsible for commercial strategy, investor relations and strategic analysis, and has been involved in a number of significant mergers and acquisitions in the ports industry.

“I’m honoured to be taking on the role of CEO for this dynamic company. I look forward to leading PBPL as we execute on our growth strategy and continue to deliver unparalleled services to our clients,” said Mr Cummins.

In his various roles, Roy has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills having had a variety of port management roles including seven years working for P&O on the Australian waterfront from 1999 to 2006, and spending the last six years managing a significant ports portfolio as Chief Commercial Officer of Global Ports Investments Ltd, which is one of Europe’s larger amalgamated port companies.

Roy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in French and German from the University of Durham and an MBA from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.
